Bought a new Mac mini pro 512gb. Will be connecting an external 2tb-4tb Samsung t7 ssd which will hold about 900gb of family photos, some random office documents and music that I will keep connected always. (The photos are my biggest concern) I will also setup Time Machine on this ssd as well. I want to backup this ssd external drive with an external hdd WD black external ($119 for 5tb on sale $2tb is $80 so might get the 5tb). I will keep this off site. Would you recommend a 2nd WD black hdd that I connect to the Mac mini as another backup occasionally and keep at my home? I now have a 2010 iMac with 2tb (all photos are on that, no cloud backups anywhere) that has connected always an 11 year old 2tb WD hdd with Time Machine and another WD hdd offsite (so three backups). Will this setup work, is the hdd a good idea for off site storage. My 2 WD I have for 11 years still work but are slow so need to update for sure on the new Mac mini.
