Decided to start that sci-fi tv series Silo and the reviews mostly being about Rebecca Ferguson's accent kinda shit me. It doesn't detract from her acting or the show so I don't get what the big deal is. Like are people really upset she doesn't have that generic American accent and think that constitutes "bad acting".

I’m half way through and enjoying it. Though the pacing is a bit off. I feel like it blew its load plot wise in the first 2 eps and now we’re in danger of another lost or manifest…. I like her character and acting too but her accent is all over the place! And it does break the immersion a little bit.

I agree on the pacing, I'm on ep three and there's a bit of a drop.

Maybe it's because I watch lots of foreign language stuff and I used to listen to accents all day everyday for work so it doesn't bother me at all. Obviously I hear her jumping around but it does wreck my immersion or anything.

Here is a good one.

At the p's place helping them get a few things ready for our trip to bro's wedding in JK. To say things get tense is an understatement before trips. Been a while seens I've been with them but same ol..

Old man bought some 'tiles' the find stuff airtag type things for their luggage. I set them up all good to go. Work great.

I leave them on the table next to the passports and he freaks out saying I need to put them in an envelope so they can find them before we leave...

Any hot tips on how to put a smoke alarm back after changing batteries? The Bunnings lady makes it look like child's play but the top came right off (rather than being attached via a flat cord) and I'm struggling to align the top back to the body and slot it back in :(

they are not symmetrical. Match the hole with the protruding bit..

Not much help, but my approach is to stand awkwardly on a chair and just mash it at the roof part until it catches.

My solution was to buy one of those smoke alarms with a built in battery that lasts 10 years.

This is not helpful information in anyway though.

I'm just too short to have to deal with changing batteries every year (or reach the top shelf at a supermarket) so I feel your pain

G'day again DT peeps! So, the steam "summer" sales are coming up at the end of the month (AKA the time I can spend a shitton of money on games and not feel bad). My Steam library feels a little lacking, does anyone have any suggestions? My only thing is I'm not big into shooters or survival type games. But I'd love some reccos!
