So on Mac, you bind the VPN by checking in terminal if Mullvad is using utunx and setting qbittorrent network interface to utun0 or utun1 or whatever number is at the end of the one that Mullvad is using. I don’t understand exactly what this means, but it is not to difficult to do.
The problem is, sometimes Mullvad will switch to using another of the utun alternatives, and my torrents will all stall until I check what it is using now and change the bind to that interface. I guess this is good in a sense because I know it is working and that traffic is locked to that specific utun (whatever it is). I think this happens only after a full system restart.
Should I have to change this everytime it changes? Is there any risk it will start transfering data on an incorrect utun because Mullvad changed which one it uses, or will it just not upload at all? (So far it has not done any transfer when Mullvad changes so it seems fine, but I want to know if it could happen)
