All the US had to do was swallow its pride, pin everything on Netanyahu and support his arrest, then allow for a cease-fire that inevitably fails and we return to the status-quo. Protests die down, international opposition weakens, and you wait until the next mass slaughter and do it again. Instead they think finger-wagging at Netanyahu while sending the entity billions in weapons and preventing his arrest is enough (it's not).
