I recently purchased a refurbished HGST 12tb hard disk (HUH721212ALE601) to use as an additional parity disk in my Snapraid setup

it seems to work well, the smart is ok and completed the sync without problems (about 23 hours) but I was unable to make it go to standby automatically

I tried all the APM values from 1 to 127 (default was 254) but nothing changes
I tried various settings of the time in which it should go to standy with smartctl, but nothing
manual standy works with both smartctl and hdparm

the hard disk makes a "tick" every 5 seconds
