How can I click “next” or “previous” photo when viewing media from an external hard drive? (zerobytes.monster)

For example I just copied 5,000+ photos and videos to my new WD Elements External Hard Drive and its only letting me view one file at a time. When I click on a picture and would like to move on to viewing the next one, there is no forward arrow. I have to exit out of the photo and double click on the next file. As you can imagine this is annoying and inconvenient. How can I fix this? On Windows 11 btw not mac
