A couple I'd recommend from RevLeftRadio: The Paris Commune: A Brief Blossoming of Proletarian Power and The French Revolution

They've also done excellent pods about Napoleon, Napoleon's fail nephew and Marx dunking on him, Les Misérables, and later French philosophers like Althusser and Lacan

Love Marx dunking on Napoleon't. Mainly focused on what "caused" the 1789 revolution and the class structure in the period just before the head chopping started and how that contributed to the bourgeoisie supplanting the aristocrats

Eric Hobsbawm’s The Age of Revolution is the definitive Marxist work on this subject.
