Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

It's not good, but it's coming at a cost. ~4500 casualties on RU side in the last 3 days. That's hard to comprehend.
That's almost same as the entire 20ish year Iraq war us troop deaths at around 4475
Not that it makes it a whole lot better, but casualty != killed. Casualty, in this context, just means forcefully removed from combat.
It's like world leaders want Russia to win; making a show of donating insignificant amounts of old weapons systems they had lying around, but not actually doing enough to ensure Ukraine's victory.
Ukraine had momentum and Republicans undermined our collective efforts.
The US isn't the only one though, it's the same everywhere except the countries that Russians have occupied.
The entirety of Europe has given more than the US by like... 20%. So losing the US aid meant nearly halving the total support.
To be fair, that's also about how much the EU plus the UK's combined GDP is versus the US. In any case, governments around the world need to step up aid to Ukraine to prevent Russia from cementing its hold on Ukrainian territory.
Right, and which part of that makes saying "the problem isn't just the US" untrue? If anything that underlines the fact that everybody should be chipping in more
The way i remember it, in mid-late 2022 there was bipartisan support in Congress for sending more and more advanced arms but the Biden admin slow-rolled it because of escalation fears.
