The Nakba, commemorated annually on this day as "Nakba Day", was the destruction of Palestinian society and homeland in 1948 following Israel's creation. Nakba Day protests take place around the world and have been attacked by Israel.

The foundational events of the Nakba took place during and shortly after the 1947-1949 Palestine war, including 78% of Mandatory Palestine being declared as Israel, the exodus of 700,000 Palestinians, the depopulation and destruction of over 500 Palestinian villages and subsequent geographical erasure, the denial of the Palestinian right of return, and the creation of permanent, stateless Palestinian refugees.

Although May 15th had been used as an unofficial commemoration of the Nakba since 1949, Nakba Day was formalized in 1998 after Yasser Arafat proposed that Palestinians should mark the 50th anniversary of the Nakba during the First Intifada.

The Nakba was a key event in the development of Palestinian culture and is a foundational symbol of Palestinian identity, along with "Handala", a ten-year old cartoon character developed by Naji al-Ali; the keffiyeh, a checkered black and white scarf worn around the head; and the "symbolic key" (many Palestinian refugees have kept the keys to the homes they were forced to flee).

On Nakba Day 2011, Palestinians and other Arabs from the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Syria marched towards their respective borders, or ceasefire lines and checkpoints in Israeli-occupied territories, to mark the event. At least twelve Palestinians and supporters were killed and hundreds wounded as a result of shootings by the Israeli Army.

"In resisting the Nakba, the Palestinians have struck at the heart of the Zionist project that insists that the Nakba be seen as a past event. In resisting Israel, Palestinians have forced the world to witness the Nakba as present action; one that, contrary to Zionist wisdom, is indeed reversible." - Palestinian scholar Joseph Massad

Boy boy made a video which is trying dishes from North korea and a worryingly large part of the intro is just communism is when no food. Which is odd given who is making it.

Take heed and bear witness to the truths that lie herein, for they are the last legacy of the Horadrim.

Nearly three hundred years ago, it came to be known that the three Prime Evils of the Burning Hells had mysteriously come to our world. The Three Brothers ravaged the lands of the East for decades, while humanity was left trembling in their wake. Our order - the Horadrim - was founded by a group of secretive Magi to hunt down and capture the three Evils once and for all.

The original Horadrim captured two of the Three within powerful artifacts known as Soulstones and buried them deep beneath the desolate Eastern sands. The third Evil escaped capture and fled to the West with many of the Horadrim in pursuit. The third Evil - known as Diablo, the Lord of Terror - was eventually captured, his essence set in a Soulstone and buried within this Labyrinth.

Be warned that the Soulstone must be kept from discovery by those not of the Faith. If Diablo were to be released, he would seek a body that is easily controlled as he would be very weak - perhaps that of an old man or a child.

i'm watching some "I was reincarnated as the 7th prince so I can spend my life learning magic" (or whatever) isekai garbage (is it an ISEKAI if it's in another world already, and they reincarnate in that world, though? morel like a re-sekai am I right) and anyway

I can't decide what's more problematic, that the author designed the MC who is in the body if like a 10 year old to just have these dummy thicc femboy thighs, or that they just introduced some assassin's guild girl who looks like a girl (meaning loli design) and then they show her back and her clothes are cut out, she's wearing like a fundoshi type thong w/ a thicc ass

should someone be monitoring the author of this show? I'm leaning towards yeah maybe

don't @ me about me watching it I can't not watch isekai slop especially stuff with Wiz Biz (that's wizard business), it's what my partner pays for crunchyroll for

Sometimes my computer opens more than one version of Cyberpunk 2077 when I'm impatient clicking on it. Once I had 3 versions running simultaneously, it sounds like my computer was going to explode.

I bought my wife an 8bitdo M30 (in Japanese Saturn colours) (as a little treat) (she deserves it) and she's just been pecking away at Dragon Quest II all afternoon with it. She likes the softer, hat-switch-style d-pad compared to the Xbox SX pad's clicky, hard one.

She mapped a bunch of the buttons to rewinds and fastfowards, and I've just been idly watching her play, she is so cute playing 8bit rpgs with a Saturn pad niko-happy

Jonathan Blow is complaining on twitter that his re-release of Braid (for $20!) does not show up at the top of the PS5 store when using the default best selling sorting, speculating that someone at Sony hates them. What a guy.
