I'd definitely prefer the raison.

I agree

oatmeal raisin > chocolate chip

any day of the week

Sure, but have you heard of our lord and savior, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip?

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There's something about the fruity spice that complements the chewy texture from the oatmeal so well. If I'm having chocolate chip in a cookie, I want it to be a buttery, gooey one.

Cookie connoisseur, you know what you like and how to articulate it, hot.

What's your favorite kind of cookie?

[–] Stache_@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

White chocolate macadamia nut

So would you have a similar reaction if you bit in and it turned out to be chocolate chip? It's the unexpected texture and flavor that's the problem.

Are people making non oatmeal, raisin cookies? Cuz like…. They look totally different, unmistakable.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Agreed, the chocolate chip cookie is the cookie of degenerates like cookie monster. Nameless shifty formed addicts who break into their friends and families homes to steal cookies and vcrs to pawn for more cookies.. Shameful, truly is.

Unpopular opinion: oatmeal chocolate chip are a bigger letdown if you’re expecting raisins.

[–] HipsterTenZero@dormi.zone 9 points 1 year ago

Oatmeal raisin isn't even bad. It's just the shock of your expectations not meeting reality that sucks. It's the betrayal of the trust that you put in your food. Of course, its your fault for not reading packaging or looking more closely than not at all.

Oatmeal raisin is the best cookie.

They're the best cookies. No one can change my mind.

[–] HUMAN_TRASH@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Theyre great, as long as there's no raisins

[–] Liz@midwest.social 0 points 1 year ago

Oh no, my lack of reading skills have created an awkward situation here.....

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At least he didn't leave for no raisin.

Your comment gave me one of those... things. You know, like a headache but with pictures.

[–] PumaStoleMyBluff@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

My family makes several medjoul date desserts, which are okay if you're expecting it, but they're easy to mistake for some kind of chocolate ganache filling, in which case taking one bite throws off your whole day.

[–] Stache_@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

More like

“Trying to convince my brain that this cookie is heathy because it has fruit in it”

[–] PrettyFlyForAFatGuy@feddit.uk 2 points 1 year ago

oat and raisin cookies are king
