I was going to post this in the other tesla subs but I figure it will just get removed

You just have to add "still love the car" lenin-dont-laugh

Not enough to save once they posted in the realtesla sub. Telsa mods ban anyone who posts are comments in non Elon love subs

"I can't work for my clients unless I have my Tesla. No, I can't Uber or rent a car."

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Renting a car is a bitch and the busyness is inconsistent. But I can’t imagine the car being critical unless he’s Jerry Seinfeld driving around clients and talking to them for work lol

I mean, he's acting like the car is absolutely critical to his business (whatever the that is - live streaming one man one jar videos on Tesla self-driving?).

You'd think he'd just rent the car anyway to avert the risk of not getting the car back in a timely manner (or have some kind of backup plan for something you think is essential for running your business), but clearly I'm not a super genius entrepreneur or whatever shrug-outta-hecks

it is when your job is NFT broker

Explains the complete lack of risk mitigation skills lol

Oof. He can try to go after them for loss of use, but even at four figures I’m not sure it’s worth it.

[–] supafuzz@hexbear.net 35 points 1 year ago (1 children)

it's small claims at that figure, and tesla probably won't even send anyone to oppose it

[–] henfredemars 24 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Didn’t they just fire a bunch of people too?

[–] LaGG_3@hexbear.net 20 points 1 year ago

I think they were all in the only profitable business line - charger technology

Jesus christ. Owning a regular car is already a massive pain the fucking dick. Imagine you shell out more money for a car that is mechanically worse than a normal car, aesthetically worse than a normal car, and the teams responsible for servicing and supporting your car are also worse than normal car mechanics and lenders. Why do these people seek misery

Why don't americans just buy chinese EVs instead

[–] waluigiblunts@hexbear.net 26 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

thank you joe biden for imposing a 100% (!!) tariff on chinese evs

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 25 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

They can't because they're double the retail price because of tarrifs

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

But what if the ebil SEE SEE PEE knows my location?! Occasionally getting my car stolen by the patriotic American manufacturer is just the price for freedom.

I’m just following orders
