The biodiversity of rage comics can't be replicated in a few gens, it takes time, this is only the start of the healing process.

Agreed! I like what they contribute but their now extinct forebears just bring a lot more flavour - and lightheartedness, I think.

I still use me gusta... though I'd be lying if a part of me didn't feel incredibly old using it, but a part of that might also stem from the fact that I work with 18-25 year Olds

I wonder whether evolutionary memetics will ever be a field of study. I guess know your meme and internet archives are all we have of a proto-discipline so far.
And here I am missing the "ORLY / YARLY" owls, Lolcats "in ur stuffs, doin teh things", and "advice animals" eras from approximately 2.8 billion years ago in Internet-scaled time lol.
...Also cereal guy was funny. :D
