Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Back when the war started and every sector of society was yelling "Slava Ukrani" and anyone who disagreed with escalation was dismissed as a Russian shill, whomst amogus could've predicted that as the war dragged on and costs mounted while the narrative grew stale, that the American public would lose interest, because nobody has any real stake in the conflict and the only basis for their support was the massive propaganda push?

Of course, people got tired of the WoT long before it ended and the media was still manufacturing consent right on through the withdraw. Still got a ways to go before people start accepting it was a mistake from the start and then a ways to go to actually extract ourselves, after which we'll immediately dive into another one and everyone will eat up the propaganda like Charlie Brown and the football all over again.

Unless you've opposed a war as it was starting, you have no right to call yourself "Anti-war."

I remember seeing two sets of flyers being posted in my neighborhood back in April 2022. One was for a yard sale for charity to Ukraine. The other was for a missing black girl. I saw that someone tore at least one of these sets of flyers down .. We know which one

Majority of Americans are confirmed secret agents of Putin.

This sunk cost fallacy is one of the stupidest moves by Biden. I was willint to give Biden credit for leaving Afghanistan. People falling from an army jet they're clinging to is bad optics but at least we're out.

By running Biden they're throwing this election. I don't vote neolib. Voting my conscience never meant voting for my black/brown/lgbt comrades. My personal friends range widely in political opinions. This includes socially conservative and libertarian black and brown people.

Black men in particular feel particularly patronized by Biden. Basically it was black women who saved his ass in 2020.. Black men of various ages have lived without seeing any less racism from years past. In some ways overt racism allows them to respond back racially in a way dogwhistles just force them to be passive-aggressive pricks like white people..

The black men from:

Milwaukee, Green Bay, Detroit, Flint, Philly, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, Youngstown, Phoenix, Tempe, Atlanta, Augusta and elsewhere will determine this election...

They did not particularly like Obama after voting for him in record numbers. They will not be patronized and vote for the feelings of pearl clutching white liberals.

It's been rumored that there's a DNC leak saying they'd rather a Trump presidency than a Bernie one. I haven't personally seen it

Whoa, when did this change? Last I knew, this entire country wanted to bathe in the blood of Russians and anyone who opposed arms shipments to Ukraine was a Putinist tankie orc.

I'm thinking when average Americans saw the months pass and it became more obvious that Ukraine wasn't gonna win.

Well, I'm sure American popular sentiment will once again direct and shape American foreign policy.

Never seems to make it into the top 3 issues. They keep half the population or more too desperate for that.
