Original Title: TIL: During WW1, there was an American volunteer vigilante group known as "The Knights of Liberty" which targeted Germans, labor activists, "slackers", and anyone seen as disloyal to America. They would either tar and feather, lynch, or beat them. They claimed to have over 2 million members in 1918.
