Good, because that puppy shooting incident sounded like a fascist euphemism. Like “don’t worry, I know how to cull the disobedient.”
Trump isn't dumb enough to let a puppy killer hitch her wagon to him.
It also exposes how poor her political instincts are to commit an unforced error like this. Why in the world would you tell the world that you murdered a puppy if you have ambitions for office beyond a state where everyone cosplays a cowboy? Trump may hate puppykillers, but he LOATHES losers. And she marked herself as a loser.
She literally put "I guess if I were a better politician I wouldn’t tell the story here," in her own book after writing about how she killed the puppy.
"Kristi Dakota seemed good. Very good. Her state isn't important in the electing college but maybe (maybe-maybe) she could be VP material. Central casting. She looks strong and good. Trump really latches into unforced errors like this. I think it’s something that keeps him in touch with the line between “acceptable” fascist rhetoric and career ending fascist rhetoric.

At first I thought this was a glimpse at some humanity from Trump, but then I realized that he's mad at her being bad at PR not for killing the dog and that made a lot more sense.
I think Trump thinks of all animals as dirty and stupid.
