I had one of these as a kid and honestly I loved it. It made it a lot easier to play in the car or in weird light situations. I don't think mine had the extra buttons/joystick though, just the top part with the magnifier, lights, and speakers.
Same, I remember mine having the buttons but they sucked and I took them off and promptly lost them.

I had a screen light plugin back in the day, though. It made those six hour drives every few weeks bearable, without having to wait for a light to pass over us before I made a jump.
I had a snake shaped light for my GBC way back when lol. Never got any accessories for my original GB
I have one of these bad bois! The lights are so much better than a snake light. I do wish it was modular—I’d love to be able to remove the magnifier at will, and the joystick isn’t the best idea.
