Lmao It’s pretty obvious this protest is astroturfed because of how much a non-issue the law is. I could believe it was organic if this was something like pension reform.

when the law was first proposed there were so many shitty articles written by western journalists fretting over all the NGO middle managers, they might have to get real jobs because of this tyranny. Why would they have to get new jobs? Well inexplicably they all assume that a law requiring their NGOs to identify themselves as foreign agents means their NGOs would immediately pull out of the country. thonk

I still remember listening to his podcast a couple of times, but finding his "I like machetes" bit grating

Especially because I own several machetes myself and I am not a tool about it

federal evans and his cohosts think being zany by throwing objects around the room is the peak of comedy and it might be worse than his fed shit to me

hold on folks this episode is just the child from canada or whatever who federal evans picked up at a protest and moved him into his house and has him host his podcasts

No. Letting a fellow protestor crash on your couch does not make you a pedophile, what the fuck. Robert Evans may align 1:1 with the CIA on any foreign policy issue, but this is just fucking weird fanfiction people are writing. Just fucking inventing a charge of pedophilia.

This is like when people decided that the lady who made chili was a groomer or some shit. Stop being fucking weirdos.

he didn't just let him crash on his couch temporarily, he moved him into his house and immediately installed him in his business

[–] theposterformerlyknownasgood@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He gave an amateur journalist a job as a journalist. That is not pedophilia. That's not what pedophilia is. Stop doing this.

It’s weird to let your “employees” live at your house and you won’t change that

[–] theposterformerlyknownasgood@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If your criticism of him has to include inventing pedophilia charges, then your criticism isn't fucking serious.

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

I’m not a judge. I’m not charging him with crimes. I’m stating that it’s fucking weird

Any comrade who says “I don’t care he makes good content” when informed about his CIA aligned proclivities immediately goes on ban list for shit taste

Here's the episode of Radio War Nerd from last year when the first astroturfed protests and clashes happened over thisthis if you (or any one else) would like some more context on this bill, Georgia and Western NGOs.

[–] MaoTheLawn@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

Let me guess, NED and USAID running political training programs and funding local propaganda and TOTALLY NEVER letting anyone buy weapons with their aid.
