MODERATORS
I refer to past me as harassing present me by making plans.
I’m not a fan of future me cause I know he’s gonna be a dick about it.
I have to give myself a pep talk most of the time. "You know you'll have a good time. You'll be glad you went."
It's easier now that I'm in a relationship and it's not just me alone for most things.
It's exactly like that.
Which is why I generally don't make plans until day of anymore.
This is so true that it actually hurts to read.
I invite people over. Then the social cost of cancelling is too high and I can cope with anxiety by preparing for the party.
This is what I do. And I'm not an introvert. I spent too much time on people's homes when I was a kid because I didn't have a lot growing up. Now, since I got something I always invite people over for dinner or for some LAN party session.
