What's the bet that the shooters were also police?

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 34 points 1 year ago (1 children)

We'll find out in a year when someone does an information request.

And then six months later than that we'll get some edited bodycam footage.

What’s the bet that the shooters were also police?

What does that mean...?

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Perhaps he's saying a badly organised operation and cross-firing on themselves?

Idk.

"Numerous officers" were shot, I'm saying that it may have been other officers firing those shots.

Funny, I thought acorns mostly fell in autumn ...

[–] TokenBoomer@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Acorns are the symptoms, squirrels are the disease. You can’t trust them.

3 deputy U.S. Marshalls killed. 8 total officers wounded/dead. They were serving a warrant against someone having a gun that isn't allowed to. 1 accused dead. Others in custody.

I don’t see any info about how it went down, how it went down but they were trying to charge him with possession. There ought to have been a better way to handle this, or to have prevented it. Maybe there was nothing else police could have done, but there’s a huge escalation. Maybe that was the intended result and an illegal purchase or maybe it should have been prevented

Most of the time it's police being impatient and ambushing people in their home. They probably could have waited and grabbed him in his car or walking down the street.

The first guy shot at the cops serving the warrant and got killed. It seems like the cops who went to check the body then got ambushed by others in the house.

Boy, the United Methodist general conference sounds like it is getting pretty rowdy.
