Did the head of the Department of Redundancy Department write this?
It's a direct translation of "Gauche anticapitaliste", which is the name of the Belgian political party presenting the list. It's not a random abstract term for a bunch of leftists.
And formally naming your political party "the left" may pose some challenges.
Ah, I see. I overlooked that, but yeah, it might be necessary like @bazingabrain@hexbear.net said because people consider soc dems "left" these days.
