It's hard to hate on people who don't want to die. If counselor services are not authorized then they have a very defensible reason to apply for refugee status.

On the other hand, citizenship of a country comes with duties and responsibilities. So the question becomes if your refugee status can/should be accepted.
Chances are high the men abroad are well off enough to be able to be there in contrast to the rest. So does that mean it is acceptable?
I see your line of reasoning. But I think it is a commonly disingenuine argument. Unless the people making it are going to Ukraine to volunteer, condemning other people to death by their birthplace feels hollow
The war sucks.. and I can relate to not wanting to get hurt or worse. But the burden is then left on the ones unable to leave and that is not fair either, is it?
