I honestly have no idea how big a football field (never been to one) is so this nit helping much.

but how small are they compared to a standard banana?

A football field is generally bigger than a standard banana and a carpenter ant is smaller than a standard ('b' + 'a' + + 'a' + 'a').toLowerCase();

You have an extra 'a'

A football field is less than one Texas. Hope this helps.
