I always found it ridiculous that Fallout takes place like 200 years after the big war and it's still such a wasteland. It would look like that for maybe a single-digit amount of years after humans start living on the surface again. Humans build things very quickly.
Blame FO3. The first Fallout took place less than a century after the nukes dropped, and by the time of the second Fallout, the setting wasn't really a wasteland anymore.
Exactly, no survivors would tolerate living like this. I know I wouldn't.
I always took the Bethesda fallout to be “it’s easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism” to its logical conclusion in my head canon. It’s why no one builds anything because the value of labor as a social good had been nearly wiped out from society. Why would anyone build anything more than the bare minimum?
Is there a meaning behind the fact that the Big Mac and McChicken are all real photos of the sandwiches, but the rest are advertising photos?

Fallout 4 should have been the two day old salad the employees aren’t paid enough to care about throwing and replacing instead of just serving it.
fish sandwich should be FO3, 4 should be a turd on a nice bun, and new vegas should be a wagyu steak

I can never get a straight answer about FO4 everyone either says it’s fun or says it’s the worst thing to ever exist it’s like FO3 discourse all over again.
Gameplay wise it's pretty good, and does improve on what was laid down in 3 and NV, but it also back steps in some ways with VATS being a slow-mo thing and the only way to get critical hits now
Visually it's fantastic. Some people didn't like the art style change but I'm all for it, I think it fits the retrofuturist aeathetic
Story and writing wise it's dogshit. The main story is beat for beat identical to FO3 but with a new coat of paint and somehow even more boring, the characters other than Nick Valentine are boring, and the main villain motivation is nonsense
Solid 6/10 from me, goes up to 7 or 8 when modded
Also at one point the lead writer voices a character and he calls the player character - and player by extension - the ableist R-slur. Gives you a good idea of the respect the writing team has for your time I'd say
It's just like Fallout 3; it's a good time if you're looking for a standard open world where you can fuck around doing nothing plot relevant for hours at a time, but it's a bad Fallout game. It's Fallout-skinned Skyrim

I don't know what this image is trying to say, but I don't care for the Bethesda RPG game loop and love isometric CRPGs so it's all garbo after 2, even though I've suffered through them all. Even NV suffers from the absolute jank that is Gamebryo.
