I don't think so? MAL cites The Chirps, Kouichiro Hori, and the Bluesun Four as the performers for the Zanbot OP and ED, and Makoto Fujiwara as the Macross OP performer.
These retro scifi anime do have a pretty distinct sound though
I miss that sound.
I feel like we still see anime EDs with the ballad and enka influences of that old 70s and early 80s anime, but it's definitely uncommon. Brave Bang Bravern ED and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Oprhans ED1 both feel like they're making gestures to that era while remaining modern.
Luckily, it's a lot easier to get a hold of the oldies these days!
