The rain made it a fun watch.
I hope the rain will help with the turn 5 fires.
Slept midway through it unfortunately. Had to watch the replay. SQ3 was exciting. The last qualifying that was this exciting was 2023 Monaco.
That was so great to watch :)
Fire again?
My guess is that the 'grass' is actually paint or painted grass and it is the paint that caught on fire.

And apparently no one in the media pit has an idea why. My local TV Station just "tasked" Bernd Maylรคnder with asking race control about it :D
Well it's because of the sparks. But why the sparks are only catching this grass on fire is the mystery. I'd guess there was a crash in the past and there is still left over oil or gasoline.
