Honestly I think the best solution for something like this might to be to make the whole country the jury, and decide the trial by referendum. I mean that will make it super political but frankly that cat's been out of the bag from the beginning.
This situation is beyond insane. I think the only way Trump is forced to shut up is if he causes a serious injury or death and then a judge finally puts him in house arrest. Then he'll continue to cause more chaos unless a judge finally puts him in jail as pre-trial detention.
As much as I’d like to be part of the clown show and miss work, I’d also request a dismissal because I don’t want people threatening me and shooting at my house at night just over Trump of all people
Yeah, hard to justify risking getting shot by some Trump loving psycho when the ultimate outcome will almost certainly be nothing meaningfully harmful to him
It would be hilarious if they just can’t do the trial because no one wants to be a juror.
Another funny thing would be if a lib juror proudly outted themself and said "I'm proud to be a member of the jury. I will not be cowed!" and by the end of the day they are off the jury and are in hiding. They quickly got a huge number of nuisance threats and some serious death threats strong enough that the FBI is already investigating.
There are far more than enough goofballs in Manhattan to put together a jury
