Look Back, an upcoming anime movie based on the one-shot manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man), released its first new trailer today, alongside a main visual. The trailer also features the movie's main theme "Light song" by haruka nakamura, and sung by urara. The film is scheduled to open in Japan on June 28, 2024.
Kiyotaka Oshiyama (FLIP FLAPPERS) will direct Look Back at Studio Durian. Oshiyama also writes the script and provides the character designs. Kiyoshi Sameshima will be the art director, with haruka nakamura providing the music and Avex Pictures distributing the film.
As previously reported, Yumi Kawai will voice Fujino, with Mizuki Yoshida voicing Kyomoto.
Tatsuki Fujimoto originally released the Look Back one-shot in July 2021 on Shonen Jump+. An English language version of the manga is released by VIZ Media, who describes Look Back:
The overly confident Fujino and the shut-in Kyomoto couldn’t be more different, but a love of drawing manga brings these two small-town girls together. A poignant story of growing up and moving forward that only Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man, could have crafted.
