MODERATORS
If you're an American, there is more you can do:
- Check your voter registration today to make sure it hasn't been purged
- Volunteer if you have time
- Donate what you can afford
Why is the voting system in the US so stupid? These maps make it look like if you live in 43 of the 50 states you don't really get much say in who will be President.
Still vote your heart out no matter what the news and opinions say, but I am smdh at the whole electoral college system.
What's going on in those 43 states is that one party or the other has a solid majority. They get a say, but the change of a few votes at the margin is unlikely to make a difference. The close states are ones where a few thousand people changing their mind has the potential to change the outcome.
