They definitely thought the employees were under the tabling it and their reaction wasn't "he'll yeah, I get a discount and they get more money" like everyone else, but "these criminals are trying to steal from their innocent owners!"

Not surprised at this one. I once fixed a double tap on the register on a job and made a lady's order cheaper. She flipped out with a hair trigger and thought I was charging her more. I can only imagine how much worse dudes with guns are on an average day.
I will never be 'friendly' with any Burger King employee they should be made to feel like shit whatever they do. Free hash browns? Fuck you. No free hash browns? Fuck you. Discounts? Oh, you’re giving me my food for free? Yeah dude, fuck you.
During the cold war, the anticommunist ideological framework could transform any data about existing fast food franchises into hostile evidence. If the Burger King refused to provide a free hash brown, they were intransigent and belligerent; if they appeared willing to provide a free hash brown, this was but a skillful ploy to put us off our guard.
