Is this what it's like being straight?

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 45 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Not in my experience. I've never dated anyone that wants to take care of me like I'm a helpless child.

Liking to take care of partners that have "weakness moments" is problematic?

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

No, but wishing they were your child is creepy.

Which part of this meme references "weakness moments"?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't want to even imagine the person that I have adult relations with as my child.

Nothing about this is “problematic.” It’s just funny and weird, especially when you word it like the caption instead of just saying you enjoying taking care of your partner

[–] EllenKelly@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

in my experience, mothers dont care for their children anyway, ayyy

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago

This isnt all that weird if she wants to have kids with him. Wanting to be his mom is weird. Usually he wants his mom and she wants her dad. Or someone defined in relation to their parents.

Straight and white in burgerland.

The only affection people experience for a while is through familial relations so I feel like young people (as in the pic) just use these terms as short hand while learning about things. I think explicit incest fetish is a leap of an assumption.

fetishes aren't in a separate sphere from socially acceptable "healthy" relationships and desires, but rather exaggerated manifestations of them

Yet most hexbears have a mom ...curious smuglord

[–] ashinadash@hexbear.net 26 points 1 year ago

Ma'am I know your bf is probably (statistically, even) a manchild who'd throw a fit if asked to do chores, and I'm glad you're happy but I dunno if you should be supporting what could be malicious incompetence ✨

Most twitter ass comment I've made

Was Sigmund Freud right about everything? In this essay I will...

Oh shit when I first wrote this comment I didn't see the bottom half of the meme lol.

Many of his theories on human psychology are wrong but fully apply to fredo psychology

[–] LaughingLion@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago

occasionally when hes right its for the wrong reasons

[–] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

he was right about a lot of things, and the things he was wrong about still led to interesting insights that were right. people just hate him because the subject matter is frequently uncomfortable (and also the man himself was, like nearly every theorist of the 19th century, a complete freak)

Honestly I'm so jokerifed and deep in ironic nihilism at this point that I think unresolved Oedipus complexes could probably explain the majority of weird behaviour in society.

Aside from a few moments in the boudoir, this is just kind of blocky-wat

It doesn't matter if its a consensual fetish for sexual moments, the fetish itself is blocky-wat yet extremely widespread for reasons probably long ago explained

Woah look at this kinkshamer, damn.
