How Does Someone I Don't Know On Telegram, Know My Real Name? (exploding-heads.com)

I got a notification on telegram from someone saying hey, I responded back and they said why haven't talked for a while and that we know each other.

I asked him if he knew my real name and sure enough he knows my whole fucking real name.

He even has a picture, and I told him I've never seen him before.

Any ideas?

You can find people by phone number on telegram. That is the most plausible scenario. Like my first boss out of college. I got a notification saying he joined telegram.

Crazy what's weird is this guy has a picture of himself too and I don't recognize him I've never seen him before I don't know how the hell some stranger knows my full name

Turn off the contactlist auto add crap in settings, and check friend privacy, if you add someone as friend it will default to showing your phone number. Turn that off lol.

If you haven't hidden your phone it is stupidly easy to find who you are. Look up what people finders are. You'll be surprised

I think maybe it's because I've been looking for jobs recently and some scammers might be taking my phone number off of my resume or something
