I'm sorry I can't help you as I haven't tried it before, but workshop items are saved in this path for the original games: steamlibrary/steamapps/workshop/content/[gameID]/[itemID]
Skymods has a Planet Coaster page. You could use the steam workshop downloader linked in the other comment, but the problem with that site is that the vast majority of the mods on there are outdated, and there's no way to request an update the way you can on Skymods. Skymods also has instructions for how to install mods on this page.
