Why dafak is the article getting downvoted? BBC is a highly credible source. This is not disinformation and important to the EV world.

Do the tankies just not want to hear it? They seem to be out in force.

Because Lemmy likes to downvote the policy, not the reporting on the policy. Which is stupid.

Yea, needs to be on the Lemmy marquee: 'please vote only on if the post or comment adds value to the conversation, not if you agree or disagree'

I would, why allow such a vector for illicit digital attacks from a country that clearly doesn't respect the rules of the international stage?

Hey, did you invest billions into that new tech to allow your company to perform better? China thanks you for their progress. China stands on the shoulders of the world pretending like they are self-made. It's the world's funniest joke they're selling EVs while not investing shit into the RnD.

I love how neoliberals were all about markets, free trade, and open borders until China became such a dominant force in the global economy. The 180 that China has made them do is incredible. They were globalists until they realized there were people around the globe who didn't look like them, act like them, or believe like them, and now they're not globalists anymore.

They are propped up with slave labor and other CCP human rights atrocities, and are a huge electronic monitoring security risk is primarily why.
