Wow, our very own @Melina@hexbear.net is running for VP! /s (Faer is still banned)

[–] IMF_DOOM@hexbear.net 28 points 1 year ago

very funny imo that melina has been banned then unbanned and then swiftly rebanned multiple times

the USA is a right-wing, white-supremacist conspiracy

I do self-criticism constantly because I’m trapped in a Maoist cult where comrades (white terrorists) criticize me mercilessly for watching fascist sportsball (The Big Game™️)

They won't let me listen to Taylor Swift anymore because her boyfriend is fascist and "making 'roided-out slaves beat each other up for amusement" is "bad vibes"

Yeah, the team helmed by a PoC beating a team helmed by a white dude named Brock Purdy is a white supremacist conspiracy. The better argument would be that the media hoopla and overfocus on the Swift-Kelce angle reflected systemic biases.

That being said, pretty mild as far as bad hot takes, and the running mate of a third party presidential candidate is about the least consequential thing in politics.

Ngl any respect I had for Cornell West, prior to this utterly bonkers presidential run, has gone out the window

Why did he break from the Green Party? Will he even have ballot access in every state?

[–] WIIHAPPYFEW@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

He wanted to “skip the time dealing with party conflicts” even though it was practically unanimously on board with him the whole time

[–] jack@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

He doesn't seem to have any party apparatus anywhere
