Hugely underestimating the natural charisma it takes to make content like this. Most folks just getting out of prison do not have it.

My neighbor is my drinking buddy. One random night, he told me about how he was in prison for twenty years after killing a punk. I thought it would be weird but it wasn't.

How does one acquire this 'charisma'?
With any charisma at all, this would definitely work.
The dude could’ve also gone on to try and voice act in a crime game like the guy who voiced Dragan in Payday 2 who robbed a bank before turning to acting.
It's pretty hard to beat that when it comes to experience
The Insider channel has done tons of videos like this, several featured an actual ex-bak robber.

Just want to mention that I think a lot of parole stipulations could make this infeasible.
No idea on the details, but some countries/states/jurisdictions/etc. do not allow you to profit from past crimes.
But if framed carefully? Maybe? "I'm just providing a video game review based on my past experiences." Bet there's a way to pull this off.
Although given the fact that he got caught and arrested, I somewhat I'm doubtful of his bona fides.
