And I became obsessed with history. I pored over the works of Marcus Garvey, Chancellor Williams and J.A. Rogers. I read about the American, French and Iranian revolutions and the U.S. Civil Rights Movement. When I read about the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama — and how many of the students protesting the bombing were jailed — I immediately connected that to the Tiananmen Square protests in China.
Of course. Everything else is great though, the autobiography of Malcolm X is great to radicalize someone.
