Upvoted due to being weird and neat, but I'm not sure I trust the data source of two "cleanroom consultants." They're obviously in the pocket of Big Skin.

Or a big skin pocket, like a marsupial.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oh, I totally missed that. So if you're wearing the clean room getup do the skin cells still aerolisize?

[–] Patches@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Yes but then you breathe them in. Bit like recycling, eh

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 47 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Is most of it coming from dude's massive dump truck?

[–] dalekcaan@lemm.ee 31 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I think the real takeaway is that walking faster makes you taller but also fatter.

It's true what they say

You can't outrun your diet especially when it consists of millions of human skin cells.

I'm not lazy I'm just conserving skin

[–] nxdefiant@startrek.website 17 points 2 years ago

"skin per minute" seems very imprecise for how accurate it sounds.

Why does he get bigger and fatter the faster he walks?

[–] mexicancartel@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Because they have to adjust heights to make graph scale

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

And they needed to adjust the size of his dump truck too?

[–] mexicancartel@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 years ago

Bigger the better

[–] Zkuld@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

That's really ineffective suit

Three horrifying words: aerosolized skin flakes.

[–] psmgx@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What do you think dust is?

[–] acockworkorange@mander.xyz 2 points 2 years ago

My sweet summer child, if you think those two are synonymous, I hope you never learn otherwise.

[–] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 years ago

8kph is up in speed walking territory

[–] nifty@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

It’s unclear whether the person is shedding skin flakes despite wearing the clean room gear. I am guessing the shedding visualization shows what would happen without the clean room gear.

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Is this because of chafing? Wind resistance? Increased body temperature?

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Probably all of the above.

[–] invertedspear@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

This is a great explanation of why I feel dirty just driving somewhere over the course of 8-10 hours. Sure I’m not getting dirty, but I’m not passively exfoliating either.
