I like how genocide is treated as equally bad to everything else. Trump having bad grammar is obviously just as bad a genocide.

one gram of steel vs a kilotonne of feathers

[–] radiofreeval@hexbear.net 61 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Row literally got overturned on Biden's watch. He had the chance to codify it but never did; why do people still consider him pro abortion?

[–] BeanBoy@hexbear.net 41 points 1 year ago

“Gay marriage” (as the meme calls it) is legal because of a conservative scotus decision a decade ago. Dems didn’t actually do anything for in the first place, so why do people consider Biden pro “gay marriage”?

[–] Dimmer06@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago

You mean the guy that has openly been "personally opposed" to abortion his entire career doesn't do anything to protect it? shocked-pikachu

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 49 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They really think putting dozens of fucking things like GRAMMAR on the other side of genocide makes me fucking care

[–] Wheaties@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh fuck me, what a non-issue. I'd have hoped nobody's making their decision on "orange man speaks funny", but with these liberals...

All the bad things with Trump have been a part of the Republican party for as long as I've been alive, and I don't recall the democrats doing much of anything in policy to prevent and/or secure against these. I could go through these one by one, but who has the fucking time? It'd be a joke but I don't find it funny, 2016 all over again.

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

Not only is that a foolishl thing to decide on, but so does Biden! His brain barely works!

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 46 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just "Isreal" too, libs are too fucking cowardly to label that brick "Genocide."

I find it hilarious and sad that libs absolutely REFUSE to talk about it as genocide. It's always just "Hamas" and "Isreal". They are incapable of making the extremely obvious conclusion that it's genocide because they know the second they admit that it's genocide they lose all of their footing. Idealism is a real motherfucker.

[–] tocopherol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 1 year ago

They really are just afraid aren't they? If they admit the dems are committing genocide, and are as bad or worse than Trump in many ways, their worldview will be shattered. There will be no political party to 'save us from evil', we are on our own. In their mind that might even mean Russia and China invade and slaughter millions. It might not even be a conscious thing, it's just such an anxiety inducing conclusion that they ignore the possibility.

Trump has grammar, Biden has gender, I wonder who's bringing prepositions to the table next

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 38 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Things Biden is just as bad on:

  • $ to Billionaires
  • Whining
  • Anti-science
  • Pro ~~-bad~~ -cop
  • Grifting
  • Racism
  • 9-0 SCOTUS
  • Attacking Americans with military (a 16-year old was killed by drone strike under Obama, and I'm sure at least one US citizen has been killed in Palestine)
  • Fraud
  • Fossil Fuels
  • Prison for Abortions
  • Family Separation
  • Concentration Camps
  • Pathological Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier
  • Bully
  • Grammar
  • Idiocracy
  • Anti-Education
  • Thoughts and Prayers
  • Roe
  • Misogyny
  • Anti-Trans
  • Anti-BLM
  • Pro-Student Debt
  • Rapist
  • Muslim Bans
  • White Supremacy
  • Israel
  • He's Old

29/42, and half of the ones he doesn't qualify for are essentially "is named Donald J. Trump".

[–] Zuberi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

May I copypasta this elsewhere to own the libs?

no you don't understand that was because of court rulings forcing him to continue drilling

Actively furthering genocide

"Grammar"

These things are equal in importance

[–] Erika3sis@hexbear.net 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Holy shit putting aside the fact that a majority of this stuff actually belongs on Biden's side, the fact that "GRAMMAR" is one of the things.

Yeah, let's support immigrants, but also let's judge presidents based on their mastery of the English language. Let's treat mastery of the de-facto-and-not-even-de-jure national language as equal in weight as a presidential quality to... literally actively supporting a genocide.

[–] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well, it's a very useful way to contrast with Joe Biden, who has impeccable diction and grammar and never forgets who he's talking to or about.

[–] bl_r@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

That thread broke my brain holy fuck

I’ve been sitting in bed doom scrolling due to a power outage preventing me from doing work, and back to back to back genocide denial threads hurts my head.

~~Some guy~~ the OP said “NoooOoOoOo we can’t stop the genocide, that would make the fence sitters vote for trump!” 🫠🔫

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 30 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Pro-student debt

Biden championed the 2005 Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, which made it impossible for students to get out from dept using bankruptcy.

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 11 points 1 year ago

There's never been a more pro-student debt guy

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah but then he gave three people who have had their debt for over 40 years a restructured payment plan!

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 28 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Dictator

Can be voted in or out of office

Makes sense.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Dictator is when the president of a country is rude and/or brown

[–] RedQuestionAsker2@hexbear.net 26 points 1 year ago

whining

Lmao

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 21 points 1 year ago

"Israel" is certainly a euphemistic way to say "Perpetrating Genocide"

[–] mushroom@hexbear.net 20 points 1 year ago

this feels unstuck in time. format wise it looks should have been made between 2006 and 2012 at the latest. it also looks like it should've been made by a republican. very strange

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 19 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Lmao, Biden is complicit in more than half of these things by either outright supporting them as well or by not actually putting in the effort to stop them. The fucking gall of liberals to pin concentration camps and family separation squarely on Trump, while the deportations have only accelerated under Biden, and they themselves stopped caring about ICE as soon as a Democrat became present. agony-shivering And apparently all of these things are worse than literal genocide. Fucking clowns.

[–] axont@hexbear.net 18 points 1 year ago

Liberals are literally saying commiting genocide is like a little dent on a politician's record. Just a little slip up. A whoopsy do.

This image puts Trump's grammar as an equal shortcoming as committing genocide

[–] Greenleaf@hexbear.net 16 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

You could argue Trump would be just as evil as Biden in Gaza, and I wouldn’t disagree. But the reality is, Biden is president and Trump is not. Biden is the one who is the war criminal w/r/t Gaza.

Assume every single crime liberals say Trump did or even possibly did is true. You put all that on one side of the scales of justice and the evil Biden has perpetuated in Gaza would still far outweigh all of Trump’s lifetime of sins, real and imagined.

[–] SootySootySoot@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

We're stuck in a very shitty choice of two: Someone who is actively doing genocide right now, and someone who will probably actively do genocide. Is the second just very slightly less shitty? I really don't know, I guess.

We need to study this lib's brain so that we can replicate its smoothness and permanently phase out Teflon.

[–] disposable_cracker@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lol at pro-bad cop (implying there are good ones besides dorner )

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

There are a few other good copsofficer-down do-not-do-this officer-down-legacy

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago

Sorry libs, genocide embodies everything on the other side of the scale

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Look how much they had to pad out the trump side

"Grammar"

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The fact that we're only capable of voting for war criminal A vs war criminal B tells me our democracy is a joke.

[–] 420stalin69@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Has any US president not committed war crimes?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

None, but now that we know, you'd imagine it would open up new possible and likely candidates who'd promise to do something about it (EDIT: new parties too), unfortunately the average person doesn't seem to care. Compare that with the UK where the Iraq war cost Tony Blair his position. The UK even now (surprisingly) is majorly against their government's support of Israel.

What does "dictator" even mean anymore. Trump didn't have more power while in office than Biden does. It's the exact same government position under the exact same system.

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Tag yourself, I'm Roe, which was absolutely done away with under Trump.

[–] NuraShiny@hexbear.net 6 points 1 year ago

"Whining"?! Come on man!

lol at “Trump talk bad” being the same size and weight as “Biden is committing genocide”

[–] tocopherol@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is it me or are the scales at the same height also?
