I own like 4 or 5 coffee mugs but I always use the same one and wash it, it's got a panda on it.

a panda

I should get my mugs etched with a Hexbear. I'm so lazy though. I wonder how much it costs. Also - I wonder if a local place would do a good job or my bear would look like it got dropped on its head as a baby from a great height.

Ninja edit: I have two.

It's a stainless steel pint glass. I'm drinking from one right now. An eon ago when I wasn't a hermit and I lived in a much bigger city - there was a café very close to my house where I'd go to play speed chess. They served coffee in pint glasses - made of glass that is.

I used to use a glass pint glass too but one day it cracked in the most specular way possible when it was in my hand. The bottom instantly fell away and when it the floor it somehow created a thin jet of coffee shooting out ~10+ away. It was all totally bizarre. I felt like I was in a cartoon or something.

The café must have used specialized glass pints because of the heat. I never googled it but I suspect my mishap (the bottom falling away) isn't that unusual do to micro-cracks or whatever they are called.

The Ministry of Food and Consumer Goods rewarded me for my loyalty with two coffee ration mugs. No coffee though, just the mugs.

I have a le creuset ceramic mug with the perfect flare lip for sipping. For travel I have a zojirushi that is simple, durable, leak proof, covered, and insulates all day.

le creuset

Damn you. I need a new kettle. Tomorrow I was probably going to get a cheap one off Amazon. But Le Creuset kettles look like artworks.
