I say no, but I discover later that it's a magic donut that gives +1 to your primary stat and I regret my decision.

[–] Neato@ttrpg.network 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So what's your primary stat?

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Obviously not perception (wisdom).

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This hits home... I didn't know about the Hag fight and the +1 to stats in Baldur's Gate 3.

Same, although when I did my second playthrough I still killed her. She's a hag. Unless you're playing as an evil character, she needs to die.

I had already lost an eye so I couldn't do that. Sad times.

No, you're too kind; I couldn't, thank you.

I explain how I was made to feel a worthless burden as a child and that to this day I still feel completely unworthy of even the tiniest act of kindness.

I profusely apologise.

He understands and gives you a healing hug. You feel more self-compassionate. Surprisingly, you feel that everything is going to be ok.

It hit it in the face with my sword!

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Your sword bounces off, and he remains unharmed for he is given immortality by the donut.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Damnit! Gimme some of that donut!

[–] Vigilante@lemmy.today 3 points 1 year ago

Trust me you don't want that .

No. He's being hospitable out of nature, but needs the nutrients more.

Gracefully decline, maintaining dignity all around.

Keep your friend's offer of generosity in the front of your mind. Offer it back or use it as a patience / grace battery later

He likes your style. You are now his friend. You get to go on cool adventures in the forest and learn how to play dead.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

I will bring more donuts

[–] grue@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Of the doughnut, or by the possum?

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

One "by the possum," please.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

You start to feel funny. Your bones and muscles start to change shape. Beautiful shiny fur grows out of your skin. You are now the opossum king. Good luck ruling your kingdom!

[–] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

There needs to be a third option that says "shoo! shoo! Get out of the cats food! (shakes broom menacingly)"

[–] troglodytis@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Only a fool would look a gift doughnut in the opossum
