Last I saw Sharpton he was on CNN doing anti-immigrant race baiting. He may have been cool at one point but right now the guy's a grifter through and through.
From what I understand he hasn't been "cool" since the 80's but I'd leave it to someone who actually knows more about it to get more specific than that.
exact opposite, Jeremiah White was thrown under the bus by Obama while Sharpton has been one of Obama's biggest defenders. He had a confrontation with Cornel West on CNN(?) when West called Obama a war criminal.
