  • Millimeter wave scanners use non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation similar to that used by wireless data transmitters, in the extremely high frequency (EHF) radio band (which is a lower frequency than visible light). The health risks posed by these machines are still being studied, and the evidence is mixed, though millimeter wave scanners do not generate ionizing radiation.

cool, maybe some of the 5g, antivax dorks will do something useful for a change

They also instantly destroy insulin pumps which is fun

In bad country the state tracks your every movement. You cannot even leave your neighborhood to go to work without passing through a state checkpoint.

If those are like airport scanners those are terrible. Those always flag my junk as suspicious

Yeah, I fucking hate those things. We recently moved to China and they have some security getting on the metro, but the scanner never complains, neither abt my 🍆 nor my tiddies, so I'm happy lol

Tucker voice

Used to be that you can flick a dime at a man operating a booth in a suit to get on a locomotive. Not anymore. The LIBERALS want you to get a full cavity search before boarding the subway or streetcar. Gone are the days of street urchins smoking cigars hitching a ride on the back of a trolley as it winds through a city street. Because of woke.

I'm curious what Chinese subways look like in the poorest cities. Hell, I wonder what it looks like in Xinjiang since they had terror attacks in the past and everyone in the west is claiming it's 1984 Holocaust 2 over there now

My aunt went to 乌鲁木齐 last year and said it's a regular metal detector, and you put luggage or large bags through a scanner like a pre-9/11 airport or a regular US high school. In Wuhan where I've been the most, your bags go through a scanner that's either automated or just manned by someone not paying attention.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Make public transit as insufferable as possible, point to it as a failed endeavor. Rinse, repeat, continue dog shit car based infrastructure.
