Wouldn't it be cool if the gimmicks accumulated?
Our teams could have one mega evolver, one Z-move user, one dynamaxer, one terastallizer, and two bidoof.
I'm a gen 3 player, as a rain dance gamer I can vouch that venosaur is the most threatening of the three

Edit: Actually surprised Blastoise is slower than Venusaur so he'd have to eat a stab move first then throw ice or hope they go for solar beam then throw blizzard, ice punch, ice beam, or Aurora beam(idk if Blastoise can get Aurora beam...)
My first thought was how cool my parents thought the charmander legionnaires cap looked and not how annoying the first two gym fights were.
