Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I really, really suggest this audio-book version of A Song of Ice and Fire over Roy Dotrice's official version (which sucks, btw).

Listen to this version.

Not to the official version.

Dewit, if you like A Song of Ice and Fire.

Audiobook readers who do distinct voices for the different characters are braver than the troops

And talented to boot.

Hell yeah they rule. I'll have to give this unofficial audio narration a try sometime. I actually enjoyed the roy dotrice version quite a bit so I'm really excited to listen to something that's a step above that.

It really is a step above Roy Dotrice, who I don't like.

I'm kinda curious, do you not like him personally or is there a quality of his performance that you don't like?

[–] Pluto@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He doesn't have enough range like this guy does.

[–] marx_mentat@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's awesome I definitely have to listen now.

Start from the beginning and read along, like I do. It helps.

Hell yeahs, o normally like Doytrice but I’ll check this out as I drift off and update later if it makes a noticeable impress

Oh fuck, he also did Tolkien and that cave bear book people here have recommended

Thoughts on his American revolution video?

[–] Pluto@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago

I don't think it matters; he's a Marxist, or at least interested in history in general.
