First of all, I do think this is the best way for Williams to score points this weekend.
Having said that, it's a completely shit deal for Logan and I feel bad for him.
My only thought is that this may help Sargeant hold on to his seat.
Back in the old days, it wasn't unusual for the #1 driver to take a teammates car in the middle of a race. I'm sure everyone feels bad about this but so it goes.
It makes sense, it's just a tough break for Logan especially. You do nothing wrong and lose your seat for the weekend

On F1TV Joylon Palmer said "there's no way they would do that to Sargent". I kinda agree. Yikes.
Based on performance I was thinking thereβs no way they CANT do it. 2023 Logan scored a single point exactly one time. Albon on the other hand, scored 8 different times for 27 points. Iβm sorry but heβs just not good enough. And so far this year hasnβt been any more promising. Had he grabbed a point already maybe they could argue for him, but that team specifically needs their best chance at points.
