Ukraine is a fascist state. If it comes out of this as a sovereign polity at all, it's going to be incredibly fucked by the west for all it has to give in their reconstruction, restructuring of govt, demolition of labor rights, and predatory loans -- and the people will be the ones to suffer. If Ukrainian leaders had any care for their civilians at all, they'd pivot East instead of West. Profit comes first, of course.
Ukraine already passed a law in the summer taking labour protections back to the nineteenth century. Zelenskyy did the theater performance of opening the NYSE a few weeks ago and said Ukraine is open for investment. Various world leaders and businesses owners meet regularly in Switzerland to discuss the neoliberal looting of UA. It's already over, unless somehow the entire government, military, and likely civil service are replaced.
