Thinking that being misinformed is the cause of disagreement between themselves and others is part of the liberal idealistic worldview. It goes in the other direction too; you can see it in the liberal belief that chuds don't take covid seriously simply because of a lack of scientific knowledge, when it's clear they only stopped giving a shit when research came out that covid disproportionately affected minorities and retail/service/ag workers. They just can't imagine a world where people hold different positions due to a difference in material interests.

Yeah, that tracks. I get huge amounts of pushback and denial when i try to tell people that fascists do fascist stuff because they have fundamentally different goals and desires compared to libs. But tell libs that the fash aren't stupid or ignorant but rather have a different world view and desires and goals, and i get a lot of hate from the libs.

The most propagandized people on earth are telling us we're mind controlled. It's easier to believe than their entire worldview being wrong or that you're lying to them.
I think we broadly agree with liberals on what we want. Liberty, equality, justice, democracy, etc. Where we disagree is the absolute state of reality.
They live in a bubble and don't realize that 90% of the world hates them and their world order for very good reason.
I was radicalized by liberal media lol. Growing up I watched shit like CNN, Vice, NBC, BBC, Guardian, etc. and saw a bunch of news about Nazis in Ukraine (and Russia, but Russia was the bad guy of the west so I wasn’t surprised). The only RT videos I watched were of riots without caring about the context - I just wanted to see cops get beaten.
I’m not a Yakubian devil so I don’t have Hitler genes that activate later in life, so when I see a bunch of white people putting in so much effort to defend guys in SS uniforms and death skull patches and swastika armbands, I assume you’re a Nazi and delusional if you demand I support them alongside you.
It goes back to the old idea that communists are nefarious brainwashers that can manipulate the minds of people on a whim.
Which, if I remember my history, was invented during the Korean War when US soldiers kept defecting and explaining the crimes against humanity the US was committing to DPRK officials. "Our boys would never refuse to participate in an immortal mass slaughter! It must be... uh... um... BRAIN WASHING!"
