So, I don't really follow any VTubers (just see the posts on the local feed), but Marine is always somebody that sticks in my mind. Back in 2014, I visited Tokyo and in one of the parks in the city (forget which at this point), there was a big gathering of cosplayers (20-30 or so) in similar outfits. I was able to figure out that they were cosplaying from the show "Bodacious Space Pirates". Flash forward to the age of VTubing, and whenever I see Marine's character, I think back on that because it reminds me of those cosplayers in the pirate garb.
