I think this is an excellent indicator of why the current prison system needs to change
What are you suggesting, more death penalties or eternal sentences?
Look at countries where it works better. Hint : both your proposals are wrong.
Thanks for the fun guessing game but I'd much rather you actually just say what you think would have solved this
Just roughly look at the EU, or specifically the nordic countries. Low prison sentences, no death sentences, extremely low risk on prisoners redoing a crime etc.
