Honestly did this what I did for a terrible manager. I said her office's feng shui was weird and giving off negative energy. We helped her move some stuff around and told her it has more positive energy, and she should channel that.
Really she was standoffish and rude, and the whole talk (and office adjustment) made her soften up. She's improved dramatically.
I love this. This is like positive gaslighting or something.
I think it's just positive attention, spending time on them, doing a task, effort is respect.
She didn't know what you were doing, but her brain did.
The placebo effect is real and can be exploited.
